I was born and raised in Seattle, and as a child, I listened to KEXP almost every day to and from school. I first started volunteering at KEXP during my senior year of high school, when I was just 17 years old, for our fellow DJ, Troy Nelson. After graduating from high school and a year of volunteering, I left to pursue my dreams in New York City. Those dreams soon turned expensive, so I moved back to Seattle after one year of college to figure out what I wanted to be. KEXP provided a space for me to explore my passion for music, and I slowly picked up volunteer shift after volunteer shift, working for several different teams over the following two years. I was hired as a DJ on the third anniversary of my first day volunteering at the ripe age of 20. I spent nearly 10 years as the host of the overnight show from Thursday night into Friday morning and am now hosting on Tuesday nights from 10 PM to 1 AM PT.

In my spare time — and by "spare time," I mean full time job — I work at Sub Pop Records, working with independent record shops across the country. I am also an avid snowboarder, I enjoy traveling, and love playing basketball and Mario Kart with my friends.
