Midnight in a Perfect World: Mocky

Mocky is the alias of Los Angeles-based Canadian musician, singer, producer, and in-demand collaborator Dominic Salole. Over his illustrious 25+ year career in music, he's worked closely with artists including Feist, Kelela, and Moses Sumney, while forging his own path as an exploratory, collaborative-focused solo artist. Earlier this year he released his latest solo album and debut for Stones Throw Records, Music Will Explain (Choir Music Vol. 1).

For his exclusive guest DJ mix for Midnight in a Perfect World, Mocky sheds a beautiful light on his versatile range with a global-minded mix featuring friends and artists from Los Angeles and Berlin that he's worked with over the years, and finding interesting sonic connections between these two seemingly different scenes. Held together by a supremely soulful core, Mocky's mix explores R&B, jazz, and pop styles through his singular transcontinental lens.
