Buddy Ross is a Kelso, WA-born, LA-based musician who originally emerged on the music scene as a member of the Seattle/Tacoma outfit Motopony in the late 2000s before embarking on a whirlwind career that has found him working closely behind-the-scenes with artists such as Frank Ocean, Haim, Bon Iver, Lorde, Vampire Weekend, Cass McCombs, Arlo Parks, Dijon, and many more. On October 24th, he released his debut solo album K We're Here, an intimate ambient record that "paints the arrival of Ross’ first son, Benny, as he descends from the heavens to embark on a new life on Planet Earth."
Buddy's admittedly "off the cuff" guest DJ mix for Midnight in a Perfect World is a fascinating collection of underground gems and indie icons that journeys through a variety of styles with his sharp ear for warm melodies and timeless sounds holding it all together.
