somesurprises is the brainchild of Seattle-based songwriter and guitarist Natasha El-Sergany. Her guest DJ mix for Midnight in a Perfect World arrives one year and one day after the release of Perseids, the band's excellent, acclaimed album that beautifully showcases El-Sergany’s delicate and blissful songwriting and the band's confident, dreamy, hypnotic sound.
In regards to their dreamy, soulful, and restorative exclusive guest DJ mix for Midnight in a Perfect World, Natasha shares: "This midnight playlist celebrates the power of songs to help us move through this troubled world and imagine the other side of change and grief.
