Disiniblud is a new collaborative project from guitarist/producer Rachika Nayar and composer/multi-instrumentalist Nina Keith, both artists who excel at creating evocative, cinematic, labyrinthian sonic worlds. This year they released their self-titled debut album on Domino Records' sub-label Smugglers Way to showcase their beautiful, complex, whimsical electro-acoustic ambient-pop sound distinguished by a mesmerizing minimal-to-maximal dynamism and confounding sound design details. Disiniblud will be performing at Substation in Seattle on October 21st and at Gray Area in San Francisco on October 23rd.
Disiniblud's guest DJ mix for Midnight in a Perfect World explores a blissful, adventurous, genre-fluid terrain full of underground gems, their original collaborative track "In the Memory Room" from 2021, a surprise Jewel inclusion, and a pair of beautiful neo-classical pieces as its bookends.
