Fundido are a Brooklyn-based DJ duo composed of Latane Hughes and Billy Scher who have been staples on the NYC club scene for a decade. Recently emerging as a bonafide production outfit with an addictive sound that blends slinky house grooves with a celebratory Balearic flair, they've had a busy year with top-notch releases on DFA Records, Life and Death, and Phantasy Sound.
For their exclusive guest DJ mix, Fundido look for inspiration in the PNW for a brilliant journey through magnetic disco grooves and mesmerizing house rhythms. They share: "When we think of Seattle, we think of guitar music… so we made a mix of a bunch of our favorite club tracks that tastefully include guitar sounds… plus a few cosmic feeling tunes as a little hat tip to the space needle. Lots of Seattle tribute vibes in the mix honestly… there’s a Chromatics tune, a tune that makes fun of itself for sounding like Chromatics, and a Jimi Hendrix cover (actually it’s technically a Bob Dylan cover but we think it still counts!) – enjoy x.
