Sound & Vision uses interviews, artistry, commentary, insight and conversation to that tell broader stories through music, and illustrate why music and art matter. Contributors include local, national, and international artists and musicians, community members and advocates, KEXP DJs and staff, and many others. This program aims to provide a platform to diverse creative and artistic communities not currently represented on the dial, with space to share and discuss topics and insight important to their communities.
Emily Fox, Senior Arts and Public Affairs Producer/Host
Emily got her start in college radio where she produced and hosted an award-winning weekly public affairs show for WDBM at Michigan State University. She then went on to fill reporter, producer and host roles at Michigan Radio, followed by hosting “Morning Edition” for KUOW in Seattle and for her hometown station, WKAR. She’s a singer, outdoor adventurer, music lover, and audio nerd who holds a B.A. in Music Education and has her Master’s in Telecommunication and Media Studies.
